Nintendo Direct Announced For Tomorrow With 40 Minutes Of Games Coming This Winter

Nintendo has consistently been a fan of airing Nintendo Directs during September, with the usual September Directs being some of the most exciting of the year. And the company will continue that streak in 2023 as it has announced a Nintendo Direct will air tomorrow, September 14. The company revealed this on Twitter today, stating that the direct will run for "roughly 40" minutes at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET on September 14.  Tune in on Sept. 14 at 7 a.m. PT for a #NintendoDirect livestream featuring roughly 40 minutes of information focused on #NintendoSwitch games releasing this winter. Watch it live here:

Wonder is the big upcoming release from Nintendo, but that just got its own dedicated direct last month. That's the same direct where we learned Nintendo was releasing a new Mario Red OLED Switch, too.  Detective Pikachu Returns is another big Switch exclusive releasing next month, and it's likely we'll see more of it during this Direct. We just went hands-on with it last week and you can read our impressions of that here. There's plenty more coming to Switch in the last few months of 2023, too, but admittedly, exclusives are sparse. September Directs from Nintendo usually give players a look ahead at the next year so we're hoping to learn more about the company's 2024 plans. Considering "this winter" dips into next year, it seems we will learn more about the early months of 2024. On that note, Nintendo reportedly demoed the Switch successor to developers at Gamescom last month, and other reports indicate this new console will be portable like the Switch and is targeting a release in the second half of 2024. Perhaps we'll learn about it during this Direct. Only time will tell.  This Nintendo Direct will air at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET and will run for roughly 40 minutes.  What do you hope to see from this Nintendo Direct? Let us know in the comments below!
